GDT – Colouring with Pencils Challenge – LOTV!

 Good morning from the sweltering UK! Urgh!  

 

I am very proud to once again be a guest designer on the KLEUREN MET POTLODEN (COLOURING WITH PENCILS) challenge blog and I had a gorgeous digital stamp to work with from one of their sponsors the amazing  LILI OF THE VALLEY.

 

Not that I am hoping for Autumn (more like wishing and praying) but this card definitely has an autumnal feel. This cute little chap is called FOX & FLOWERS and I used my Arrtx pencils to colour him.

  I raided my considerable die stash and found some sunflowers (maker unknown) that I had not used in years but were perfect for this image. I also found a teeny bee button that just had to be added too.

Digi Choosday – A Card for a Shopper!

Hello everybody!  Happy Choosday! Phew what a scorcher here in the UK! We have a red weather alert for heat in our area, and I know it is affecting many other countries too so stay safe everyone.

The team had a shopping theme this week and I have used an image from the WINNIE SUNSHINE DELIGHTS COLLECTION. I did my usual thing of placing the image onto a piece of patterned paper, adding shadows and a sentiment then printing it out to colour.

Our theme for this week is Graduation and once again I used the fabulous GRADUATION/STUDENT/SCHOOL COLLECTION for my card

 This sweet little miss is called CUTE GIRL WITH GLASSES and I took the fun apple paper from the collection into Word then added all my black and white images on top (using 2 sets of the books).  I also added one of the coloured rosettes and wrote ‘#1’ on top. I coloured everything with my Copics and included a few paper-punched stars too.

613 Avenue Create Challenge – A Sewing Hobby Birthday Card!

 Hello, how are things?

I am super excited today to share my first card as a new DT member at the challenge blog

Woohoo!

Our challenge is monthly and always ‘Anything Goes’ with an optional twist which today is ‘Craft or Hobby’ so joining in could not be easier.

 

For my project today I have made a birthday card for my sister-in-law whose passion is sewing.

I love this sweet image from DI’S DIGITAL STAMPS so perfect for what I wanted to create, and I added extra buttons and my SIL’s initial for a personal touch.

Creative Inspirations –Polkadoodles Mabel Christmas!

It does seem quite odd to be talking abut Christmas after the boiling hot temperatures we have had in the UK last week.

 

This gorgeous girl is called MABEL CHRISTMAS BAUBLE & LANTERN, and I have over-coloured her with Copics.

I cut some of the baubles from one of the papers that come in the fabulous value pack which contains this and another image (B/W and coloured) and also has 6 papers, a topper sheet and 10 greetings. Wowsers!

GDT – Creative Colour Girlz – Moondrea Digital Stamps!

 Good morning! 

I am very honoured to be guest designer on the CREATIVE COLOUR GIRLZ challenge blog today and I have used this gorgeous digital stamp from MOONDREA DESIGNS.

 

This image was given away free to participates of the Moondrea Facebook progressive challenge in April and she is a beauty. She is also my contribution (by the skin of my teeth) to Mer-May.

I went with an ‘alien mermaid’ colouring using my pencils, taking the colours in the backing paper as inspiration.

Now when I saw that we had a ‘wraparound’ challenge this week I was a bit stumped, never having made anything like that before, so this is what I came up with.

 

I used the fabulous DIGI DEAL BUNDLE,  PERFECT PEONY to make a gatefold anniversary card, making the wraparound part from pink vellum.

 

No colouring just gorgeous pre-coloured loveliness.

 

I did a lot of manipulation in Word, cropping and replicating the single bloom to make the inside frame and increasing the transparency of the same image (uncropped and enlarged) to give a watermark effect that could still be written over.
