The team’s challenge this week was to make a Christmas card with a pocket containing something, so I created Santa’s jacket with a belt stuffed with decorations...you know...as you do.

Hello, how’s it going?

Time for a new monthly challenge at WE LOVE 2 CREATE which is always ‘Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes’ and we are sponsored by the awesome POLKADOODLES!! Our winner will receive a fabulous prize so check out the blog for details.

So my DT project today has the dubious honour of being my first ever art journal page.  However, I am reluctant to refer to it as ‘art’ or a ‘journal’ really so it’s official title will be my ‘Messing Around Book’! Yes much more ME!! 

So this started life as an inked and stamped pattern created on my gel press using Distress Oxides and stamps.  I used Versamark ink through my stencils to emboss the angel wings and unicorn horns and used starlight paint for the feathers.  I think I was going for a slight nod towards the film Maleficent….at least that’s what I’m saying!

Ok so it’s a bit ‘out there’ but isn’t that what Art Journaling....sorry Messing Around...is all about??!!

So it would appear that Winnie has decided to get married! Using the fabulous new WINNIE DIES I have created the ‘happy couple’ also using the FLUFFY CLOUDS and digital elements from WORK & PLAY 9: LOVE & KISSES for that ‘Just Married’ look!

It does appear as if the groom wants to hold hands while the bride is far too busy admiring her pink diamond sparkler!  Such a ‘material girl’ or Winnie…well paper actually.
