613 Avenue Create Challenge – A Sunny Card with a LOTV Vintage Boy!

Hello, how are things?

It is time for a new challenge at 613 AVENUE CREATE.

Our challenge is monthly and always ‘Anything Goes’ with an optional twist which today is ‘Bright & Breezy’ …so a project featuring sun or wind.

I went for the sunny option for my card today as I needed a card for another of my brothers and decided to use an image from the amazing LILI OF THE VALLEY.

This sweet little lad is one I have in clear stamp form from a set that is many, many years old. It includes the ‘Happy Birthday’ and corners I used too.

Ingredients:

Clear Stamps: LOTV Vintage Boys Set (retired)

Colouring: Arrtx Pencils on Strathmore Toned Tan Paper

Dies: Globe Land ‘Tatty Frames’ and ‘Label’ – Tonic ‘Grass’ – LDRS Creative ‘Layered Sun’

613 Avenue Create Challenge – A Fun Card with LOTV Little Ballerinas!

Hello, how are things?

It is time for a new challenge at 613 AVENUE CREATE.

Our challenge is monthly and always ‘Anything Goes’ with an optional twist which today is ‘Play Time’ featuring something fun.

Now these pretty little girls look as if they are having lots of fun and they can be found in the fabulous collection of LITTLE BALLERINAS from LILI OF THE VALLEY.

As soon as I saw these adorable little misses I just had to have them (being a huge ballet and LOTV fan). I used 2 of the images, flipping one to face the other way and coloured them with my pencils. I decided on different skin tones for each and used the backing paper for my inspiration for the palette.

GDT – Colouring with Pencils Challenge – LOTV!

Good morning from the sweltering UK! Urgh!

I am very proud to once again be a guest designer on the KLEUREN MET POTLODEN (COLOURING WITH PENCILS) challenge blog and I had a gorgeous digital stamp to work with from one of their sponsors the amazing LILI OF THE VALLEY.

Not that I am hoping for Autumn (more like wishing and praying) but this card definitely has an autumnal feel. This cute little chap is called FOX & FLOWERS and I used my Arrtx pencils to colour him.

I raided my considerable die stash and found some sunflowers (maker unknown) that I had not used in years but were perfect for this image. I also found a teeny bee button that just had to be added too.

Creative Inspirations – LOTV Spring Art Journal Page!

Hello, how are things?

We have a new challenge over at the Creative Inspirations Blog and this month our theme is;

Easter/Spring!

Natalie is generously providing the winner’s prize this time which is a lovely stamp set so come and join us!

LILI OF THE VALLEY recently had a half-price sale, and I just could not resist snapping up some of their gorgeous images and this is just one of the many I bought.

I adore the Art Nouveau movement and have collected related items since I was about 12 (that's a very, very long time) so I could not resist this image inspired by that art period. I even added some stained-glass lines to the background for a bit of extra ‘nouveau-ness’ and outlined the girl in black.

GDT – Colouring with Pencils Challenge – LOTV!

Good morning!

I am chuffed to bits to once again be a guest designer on the KLEUREN MET POTLODEN (COLOURING WITH PENCILS) challenge blog and I had a gorgeous digital stamp to work with from one of their sponsors the amazing LILI OF THE VALLEY.

This stunning lady is called BELLE and, as the name suggests, I coloured her Beauty & the Beast style. I even added little ‘Chip’ to keep her company.

I do have a problem with the frame die I used and I'm not too sure what possessed me to use it in the first place. However, it was too late to change it once it was stuck so I am living with it... albeit begrudgingly.

Creative Inspirations – A Pencil Coloured LOTV Christmas Card!

Hello, how are things?

We have a new challenge over at the Creative Inspirations Blog and this month our theme is;

Wrapped Up In Winter

Our lovely Natalie is generously providing the winner’s prize this time and it is a really sweet clear stamp set so come and join us!

Now this make offers a real blast from the past for me as I have had this stamp for quite a number of years. In fact, I used it in a post HERE. I do adore everything Lili of the Valley and have accumulated a great many of their stamps and paper pads so I jumped at the opportunity to use this image for our challenge this month.

She is certainly super cute, wrapped up for winter in her snuggly big coat and ‘Doctor Who’ scarf (a reference for those of us who grew up in the 70's I think)
