LDRS Creative – Hot Chocolate Cold Nose!

Hello everyone!

I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today with my last project of the year! Goodness!

I do love this sweet little girl, enjoying her hot chocolate and I teamed her with one of the stunning papers in the CHRISTMAS COTTAGE 6x6 paper pad.

LDRS Creative –Celebration Page!

Hello everyone!

I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today sharing a page from my ‘Messing Around Book’ (or art journal if you prefer).

This AMAZING girl stamp is from the CELEBRATION STAMP SET and is absolutely HUGE!! I kid you not!!  I stamped her with my RAVEN HYBRID INK  and coloured with watercolour paints and I did the same with the single balloon stamp, adding the heart stamp to the centre for luck. 

My background was created by sweeping all the colours in the COUNTY FAIR HYBRID INK MINI PACK and the SUMMER SHORE HYBRID INK MINI PACK (well apart from the white) across the paper both up and down until I had a coverage and colour I liked.  

For more texture and interest I used some of the smaller stamps in the CELEBRATION STAMP SET, stamping some with the Hybrid Inks and some to be embossed with gold glitter powder.  I then added texture paste through the WAFFLE CONE STENCIL.

I edged the page and all the added images with RAVEN HYBRID INK and finally created a flower from the heart stamp to add to my lovely lady’s hair.  Of course this had NOTHING whatsoever to do with wanting to cover up my completely appalling water colouring underneath. Oh no, nothing whatsoever!!!

LDRS Creative –Heart on a String!

Hello everyone! Hope you’re OK!

I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today, sharing another tutorial so if you enjoy process photos at slightly dodgy angles pop over to the blog and take a look.

My card today has Valentine’s written all over it (well not literally) using this gorgeous Cre8tive Cre8tions stamp set CLOUD NO. 9. 

I tried a spot of no-lines colouring on this and have to say that I find it a little more forgiving of my slightly slap-dash approach to crafting.  Really, I’ve gone over the lines?! What lines? 

I threaded twine through the frame cut from the SCALLOPED RECTANGLE set to add a bit of interest, (note to self; so much easier with a tapestry needle) and added some of the hearts from that set too.

LDRS Creative –Winds Are Blowing!

Hello everyone! How are things?

I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today using some of the fabulous autumnal themed products now available in THE STORE.

This gorgeous image can be found in the WINDS ARE BLOWING stamp set and I coloured her with Copics. 

I cut some leaves from the AUTUMN BREEZE die set using some red card and what must be the most reflective copper card on the planet!! Not the best thing to try to photograph I have to say!

Finally I stamped a sentiment from the MAGIC OF FALL SET onto a piece of vellum and ripped the edges.  I always seem to be ripping the edges of my sentiments just lately obviously a PHRASE I’m going through….…..I’ll get my coat.

After our heatwave in the UK the sky has decided to send all the rain it has!!! The garden is happy that's for sure.

I have to admit to squealing just a little bit when I saw this gorgeous stamp set, HEATWAVE, and knew instantly what I wanted to create with the main image. 

I decided that she looked a little like a mermaid and after stamping her out with my RAVEN HYBRID INK PAD I coloured her as such with my Copics.  I also gave her a ‘tail’ by stamping the ice cream cone and adding two of the feathers to the top.

The background was made with the awesome SUNBURST RECTANGLE die but I used it as a stencil, pushing gilding wax through for my shining rising sun. 

The sea is from the stunning YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE 6X6 PAPER PACK and I added the whale tail, splashes and birds from the SHORE LUCKY stamp set. I wanted a bit more dimension so I also added the waves from the fabulous SURFING WAVE & SANDY BEACH SET 

I cut one of the sentiments from HEATWAVE and VERY roughly cut it into a cloud shape then die cut another more professional looking one from the SUN & CLOUDS DIE SET.

LDRS Creative – Sink or Swim!

Hello everyone! I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today with the fabulous Raluca  showcasing some of the gorgeous new goodies that arrived in THE STORE this month.

This wonderful stamp is POLKADOODLES SINK OR SWIM and I’m erring on the side of ‘sink’ if I’m honest!! That’s a lot of animals in a very small boat! 

I stamped using the RAVEN HYBRID INKPAD and coloured with watercolour markers. I then cut some of the papers from the SPLENDID AZURE PAPER PACK using the POLKADOODLES WOODLAND FOLIAGE FRAMES.  I cut several of the large outer frame and as it has a wonderful ornate edge I layered them up to create a choppy ‘sea’. 

The stamped sentiment, ‘Together Forever’, is from the CRE8TIVE CRE8TIONS HUGGABLE SET and I ripped around it to make a flag although it might serve them better to read S.O.S.!

I finished with some pearl drops and used a circle base to make a rocker card; well they are in a rocky boat!

A very quick and simple card from me (unusual), using some of the smaller stamps in the HUGGABLE STAMP SET by Cre8tive Cre8tions Designs.

I stamped and embossed in gold and coloured areas of the hearts and sentiment with metallic markers. 

To create a little texture on the layers I used the PICNIC QUILT EMBOSSING FOLDERS, a fabulous value 2 piece set currently on sale!

LDRS Creative - A Huggable Canvas!

Hello everybody!  How are we all?

I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today using one of the brand new stamp sets from CRE8TIVE CRE8TIONS called HUGGABLE.

I don’t often enter the rather perplexing world of mixed media but I gave it a shot this week by decorating a small canvas board.

Quite colourful and a bit mad I think you’ll agree but I did enjoy making it so I may do more.  You have been warned!!
