Today, for my final Digi Choosday project of the year, I have decorated a wooden fairy door that I have had in my stash for absolutely ages.  I painted the front and added lots of gorgeous Polkadoodles goodies to it….

To start I just thought I’d mention that yesterday I celebrated 5 years, yes 5 YEARS with the incredible Polkadoodles team!! I know right!! Wonder if I’ll last another 5? Got away with it so far LOL!!!

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….” are you singing along? Well that’s the theme tune for the DT this week and I have decorated a tag with this fabulous vintage Santa.

I went a little mixed media on this one and I think it suits the image. I already had a piece of card that I had used to ‘clean off’ my stencils from previous projects (I have a growing number of these in my stash) and luckily the colours were just what I wanted.

I have enrolled in the ‘Leonie Pujol School of Clean-up’ and if you have ever seen her shows on Hochanda you will know what I mean. 🙂 This is how this project came to be as the background was created almost entirely by cleaning off different stencils after using them on other projects.  No such thing as waste on my desk..…just uncontrollable mess! 😱

There is some added stamping and stencil work with Oxides and white paste but on the whole this was ‘ready-made’ if you will.

Did you catch the new release from Polkadoodles? Fabulous new Winnie Heavenly polymer stamps and digis... all as gorgeous as each other!!  Well I used one of the new clear stamps called LOVE EWE on my project today.  Isn’t she adorable! 

 My background was made by covering some grey board with gesso and texture paste and then painting with my new metallic paints. I used lots of dies (of course) with a touch of glitter for extra sparkle.

Hello, how’s it going?

I have had an assortment of MDF plaques for goodness knows how long so thought it was about time I used one.

I began my project by covering the base with gesso and then spread texture paste through the gorgeous POLKADOODLES ‘POINSETTIA/HOLLY’ STENCIL.

Once dry I sprayed, splashed and splattered with various sprays, paint and waxes, adding mica flakes for luck (crikey I thought glitter, sequins and micro beads got everywhere). 

I coloured this fabulous GNOME stamp with watercolour markers and scribbled around him with a fine liner.
