Polkadoodles New Release - Skateboard Little Dude!

Hello there!

I am back again today to share another image from Nikky’s latest download release LITTLE DUDES; and this is SKATEBOARD. 

I created a ‘skate park’ for him using circle dies and some of the fab papers that come with this image. I also used a couple of clear Polkadoodles stamps to give the place a ‘grungy’ look and to decorate his board.

Ok so I guess you’re sick of me now but you won’t see me again until Choosday so don’t panic!! 😉

This is my final sample made for the launch of the scrummy new Polkadoodles character ULA and this is ULA CREATE.

I made a bookmark this time creating a background with pearl dimension paste through a stencil, coloured with Distress Inks.  A little bit of random stamping as well but I steered clear of the Frantage this time…we are taking a break from each other! 😊

Polkadoodles New Release - Ula Don't Listen

Don’t look, it’s me again! 😁

So here is another sample I made for the launch the gorgeous new Polkadoodles character ULA and this is ULA DON’T LISTEN another attempt from me at mixed media.

So I started my project by embossing a tag die cut and then breaking out the mica sprays.  I was in total shock that these sprays actually worked as I have had them forever; but work they did and they have a wonderful gleam to them.  Once dry I spoke nicely to my Frantage then stamped randomly with a tiny Polkadoodles ‘bubble’ stamp.

Ok so now comes the hard part.  Believe it or not I decided, for crazy reasons all my own, to create Ula’s hair from flowers.  So I digitally added some of the gorgeous blooms from the LEMONADE FIZZ collection INDIVIDUALLY in Word.  Big mistake as the program crashed as I was about 3 flowers from the finish line!! Grrrrr! So Serif to the rescue and I managed to complete it.  I also added and decoupaged 3 butterflies for good measure. I needed 3 sugars in my tea after all that!

Polkadoodles New Release - Ula Be Strong

Hello, me again!
So here is another sample I made for the launch of Nikky’s super cute new Polkadoodles character ULA!

So this is ULA BE STRONG and I decided to decorate a MDF plaque with some of the fab papers and toppers from the BELLE PAPILLON COLLECTION.

I covered the plaque with paper then added silver gilding flakes to the edges! Oh!  My!  Word!  I had forgotten how utterly unruly this medium is. I thought the Frantage and I had fallen out but this reached a whole new level!! Not too sure my neighbours had ever heard language like it!!

I think this image may be my fave of the collection; just love her! And look at her amazing ‘do’!

Polkadoodles New Release - Ula Be a Princess

Hellooooo! How are you?

Well I’ve just popped in to introduce you to another stunning new addition to the Polkadoodles family and her name is ULA! Swooooon!

The DT is showcasing these gorgeous images all week on Facebook so pop into our groups, POLKADOODLES CRAFTING, DIGI CHOOSDAY & COLOUR CRAZY and join us.  It’s here that you will be able to marvel at all the truly incredible projects created by the DT.

Now Nikky has designed these lovely ladies with their thoughtful, inspiring sentiments to lend themselves to art journaling or mixed media, but of course you can use them in any way you wish. Today something a little different from me as I have gone the mixed media route and decorated a canvas.

The background was created with PANPASTELS and the edges blinged up with rather stubborn, “I will not stay where you put me” Frantage!!  I’m currently not talking to it!

Hellooooo! How are things with you?

Well if you are a member of the Polkadoodles Facebook group you will not have failed to notice some new gorgeous ladies in town from the talented pen of Nikky Hall and they are called THE DARLING BUDS!!

Aren’t they super divine!!

Polkadoodles Meribelle Mermaid – Part 3!!!

Hello everybody!  How are things!

So here is another of Nikky Hall’s exquisite mermaids and she is called MERIBELLE.

There are 10 of these wonderful ladies to choose from coming either fully pre-coloured, as a B/W digi on a coloured background or as a single B/W digi! But if you want them all you can buy them in a fabulous value set HERE that includes all 30 options. Wow!

So I went a little lovely bubbly for my make this time and used elements from the amazing WINNIE STARFISH AND SANDCASTLES collection as it goes so perfectly with these stunning images.

Now don’t ask me why I coloured her skin blue, I wasn’t trying to zombiefy her honestly! J

O.M.G!!! Mermaids!!! I adore mermaids and our fabulous Nikky Hall has designed the most DELICIOUS young ladies for us to play with and they are new today!

There are 10 in total coming either fully pre-coloured, a B/W digi on a coloured background or as a single B/W digi on its own! Yum!!!

My make uses the very aptly named MERIBELLE PRETTY and I have used the B/W digi that comes with a gorgeous coloured background.
