LDRS Creative – Monkeying Around!

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday!

I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today and once again I have chosen to use the new SAFARI STAMP & DIE SET.

I have had this idea in my head as soon as I saw this collection; a monkey chain to snag a banana. 

I stamped the monkey, vine and grasses a few times and coloured with watercolour markers, then cut them out using their corresponding dies.  I also coloured and cut a single banana. 

I used my stamping platform to position the sentiment and then stuck everything down with 3D foam. 

Nice bright yellow Nuvo Drops were the finishing touch. Now if he could Just...Reach...That...Banana!

Digi Choosday Challenge – Here Comes Trouble!

Good morning everybody!  How are things?

It’s Choosday which means it’s time for a new ‘Anything Goes’ challenge over at DIGI CHOOSDAY and as always we have a wonderful prize on offer for our lucky winner so check out the BLOG for details.

So the team were asked to focus on the sentiment this time and I made what I consider to be my quickest card to date! I knew what I wanted to do immediately which is rare for me as I usually take a few days of eureka moments and ‘no that won’t work’ revelations before I get to my craft desk.  Yes I really am that crazy! 

I used the fabulous LITTLE MONSTERS and bought one of the sentiments into Word and then added lots of the little pre-coloured characters around it. Mats distressed, inked, layered and stuck. Glossy Accents and doodling added…done!

LDRS Creative – Safari Selfie?!

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday!

I am posting on the LDRS CREATIVE INSPIRATION BLOG today and I have chosen to use the new SAFARI STAMP & DIE SET which is a wonderfully cute collection of animals and sentiments and a real favourite amongst the DT!!

I created a background with Nuvo Aqua Flows and added splashes of the Midas Touch pen for some sparkle and shimmer which may not be apparent on the photos.

I stamped and coloured all the animals in the set and coloured them with Copics, I then cut them out using their corresponding dies. 

The sentiment was cut out using the tree die and I arranged my ‘menagerie’ in a ‘selfie’ type pose within a frame cut from the SUNNY DAYS CIRCLE DIE SET. 

I did have to remove hooves and paws to make them all fit inside so I have to confess that some animals WERE harmed in the making of this card.

I have attempted a bit of mixed media with my make this month. I coloured the stunning FENNA MY NEW GLASSES with Copics after printing her out with light lines.

I then went a little crazy with some book pages, Modpodge, seed beads and paints.  A word of warning about seed beads though; they are alive and move at the speed of light!!
