Polkadoodles Digi Choosday – An Autumn Wedding Anniversary with Two Cute Rabbits.

Today the team are celebrating the arrival of autumn, and I have to say to it “what took you so long?”! 

I have made an autumnal wedding anniversary card for my brother and SiL today featuring two of the images that come in the GIL RABBIT BUNNY BUNDLE, and they are GIL RABBIT SUNFLOWERS and GIL RABBIT GARDENING. I used Word to merge them together onto one of the backing papers from the CREEPY CREATURES COLLECTION. I chose this paper as (if you look VERY closely) it has a misty depiction of a temple/folly and it looks very much like their wedding venue at Stowe School. I was quite chuffed with that. Although I do have to point out that they themselves are not actually rabbits.

Digi Choosday – A Gatefold Anniversary Card with a Wraparound!

Now when I saw that we had a ‘wraparound’ challenge this week I was a bit stumped, never having made anything like that before, so this is what I came up with.

 

I used the fabulous DIGI DEAL BUNDLE,  PERFECT PEONY to make a gatefold anniversary card, making the wraparound part from pink vellum.

 

No colouring just gorgeous pre-coloured loveliness.

 

I did a lot of manipulation in Word, cropping and replicating the single bloom to make the inside frame and increasing the transparency of the same image (uncropped and enlarged) to give a watermark effect that could still be written over.

Good grief what a fortnight I’ve just had. After avoiding the thing for 4 years COVID finally got me. I’m over it now thank goodness but it stopped me in my tracks I must say.

Anyway, back to more pleasant things the team are using flowers on unusual shaped cards this week and I have made a card for my brother and his wife for their 20^th wedding anniversary.
