The DT are making a gift for a lady this week and as I am all over Mother’s Day this year (go me!) I have made a little something for my mum. Now I have no idea who the motley crew are featured in the photograph despite the fact that this is a gift for my mum and I just happen to have 3 younger brothers.  They certainly look like trouble to me and was that mullet and polar neck a good idea?! Be thankful I recoloured it to black and white, the garish 1970’s colours were a bit much. Wow we really did love orange back then! LOL 

So to match this throwback photo (my brothers are going to kill me) I thought the LITTLE MONSTERS DOWNLOAD would be perfect. Can’t for the life of me think why!

I have a winter birthday card to show today and in case you were in any doubt that it was for the chilly season I have added a few snowflakes to it…only a few mind!! 😀😀😀

Guest Designer for Love to Create!

Hello, how are things with you? Good I hope!

I have the honour of being Guest Designer on the LOVE TO CREATE challenge blog today and their theme is always Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes so plenty of scope there.

Ok so mixed media is not something that comes naturally to me but I did enjoy creating this piece even though I wasn’t 100% sure how successful I had been. 

I decorated a small canvas board by using texture paste through a brick stencil and then colouring with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers.  I added lace and gesso and then some Frantage. 

The stamps and dies are all from POLKADOODLES, and I triple embossed the ‘BUBBLEICIOUS FRAME SET’, adding in glitter and different coloured powders between layers.  I then cut it in half.

More bits and bobs and splashes of white acrylic paint later (along with a voice in my head that kept yelling ‘STOP NOW’) and I was finished!

Our challenge is always ‘Anything Goes’ but the DT theme this week was to use lots of green, well St Patrick’s Day is on Friday.

My card features the stunning DARLING BUD, PRIMROSE, and I am afraid that you have to take a leap of faith with me here as today she is going to be known as ‘Shamrock/4 Leaf Clover’!!!

Ok so colouring the primroses green doesn’t automatically make them shamrocks or clovers but you get where I was going with this…….probably!

The DT theme this week was Flowers & Foliage but with a twist…we had to use a design sheet! Ooooh.  Now I have not used one before (don’t know why they are ridiculously easy to use as they contain everything you need to create a co-ordinating project) so this was a new experience for me.

So no colouring again but I threw almost ALL the embellies on the design sheet at this stepper card as you can probably see!! LOL
