So as a lover of Fairytales and craft (of course) I combined the two and used a greyboard panel to create a scene from Rapunzel…you know...as you do!!

So my DT project today has the dubious honour of being my first ever art journal page.  However, I am reluctant to refer to it as ‘art’ or a ‘journal’ really so it’s official title will be my ‘Messing Around Book’! Yes much more ME!! 

So this started life as an inked and stamped pattern created on my gel press using Distress Oxides and stamps.  I used Versamark ink through my stencils to emboss the angel wings and unicorn horns and used starlight paint for the feathers.  I think I was going for a slight nod towards the film Maleficent….at least that’s what I’m saying!

Ok so it’s a bit ‘out there’ but isn’t that what Art Journaling....sorry Messing Around...is all about??!!

Colouring Paper: Watercolour

Ink: Versafine Smokey Grey - Distress Oxides

Dies: FLUFFY CLOUDS
