Digi Choosday Challenge Week 35 – Anything Goes!

Good morning everybody!  Hope all is well with you and yours?

This week the DT have gone ‘Back to School’ and I have created a little Fish School or School of Fish (!) with Miss Meribelle in charge! She is actually doing housework (sorry…didn’t mean to swear) but I thought she looked as if she could be teaching the little minnows a spot of Maths using shells as a visual aid!! You know…as you do!

So it’s digi manipulation time again! Meribelle is matted onto a pre-coloured blackboard which in turn is matted onto a ‘fishy’ backing paper.  I also gave Miss Meribelle spectacles so that she could channel her inner Elton John!!

Oh course these aquatic ‘kids’ will be using their fish fingers to count and they are behaving themselves so nothing fishy is going on.  They are good pupils and that’s o-fish-al…..Ok I’ll stop now!

Ok digi manipulation time again and I was totally inspired by a fabulous image created with different Polkadoodles elements by my Digi Choosday teamie Gail called ODDELLA WITH WINGS!  It is such a fab ‘mash up’ and I especially loved the way she had added the wings so that is what I have done here to my all-time favourite image EVER OCTAVIA BEST FRIENDS.

So meet Octavia Angel…well that’s what I am calling her anyway. The owl's called Bert! :)

The DT were challenged to use ‘Something New’ this week but I thought I would be thrifty and rebellious  and use goodies that I already had without resorting to printing out anything new. Ooops!  Therefore all the elements I have used today are from leftovers I had from previous projects made with the scrumptious LEMONADE FIZZ COLLECTION. Love the colours in this bundle!

But the thriftiness and rebellion stopped there as, to be a good girl and follow the DT brief, I used my NEW Tattered Lace border and Tuck In dies. Yipee!  Yes more new dies! Well they shouldn’t sell these things if they don’t want me to buy them should they!!

I do love Oddball images and I was given this gorgeous young lady CASSIDEY  to play with.  I have to admit to going a little leftfield with my make (big shock) by creating a ‘Me and My Shadow’ scenario!  

I printed CASSIDEY twice, once ‘normally’ and once with very, very light lines.  I then filled in the light lined image with black.  I did have to cut off her feet though (ouch) to be able to continue the shadow across the ground which I hope wasn’t too painful!

So I did a little digi merging for this project using the fabulous GO KARTER  that is available individually or as part of the WORK AND PLAY 2 collection.

If you have visited me just recently then you will have already seen the three projects I made for the Facebook launch of Nikky’s GORGEOUS new mermaid.   She is called Meribelle and has 10 different guises and you can get them all HERE.

Well I could not resist using another for my make this week so meet MERIBELLE SWISHY TAIL!! Isn’t she fab; although she has found herself washed up on the shore in a bottle.  Bit careless! J

I used the DRINK ME BOTTLE from the fab WINNIE IN WONDERLAND COLLECTION, making it into a png and resizing it to fit MERIBELLE inside.  And because there was no way that I could produce such a delicious underwater world I used the B/W digi that comes with a pre-coloured background.

I have to confess that this was a card that I have been working on for over a month!!! Now that sounds excessive I grant you but I kept colouring part of it then putting it to one side and doing something else, but it is finally complete and thankfully fitted perfectly with our Flowers theme this week.  Phew!

This is RAPUNZEL and she is one of four STUNNING Fairy Tale princesses that Nikky created and you can see them all HERE.

Don’t ask me why I gave her green hair...I use Nice ‘n’ Easy 9G myself! J

Colours used: Skin: 90, 89, 31, 32 + 30 – Greens: 65, 68, 67, 71 – Pink: 33, 24, 29 – Bricks: 98, 97, 96, 35

Paper: WORK AND PLAY FOUR

Dies: Spellbinders ‘Elegant Labels Four’ and ‘Flower Bundle’ – Tonic sentiment banner

Punches: Tonic & X-Cut

Others: Nuvo Crystal Drops
