Digi Choosday Challenge –New Pet!

Good morning everybody! 

It’s Choosday which means it’s time for a new ‘Anything Goes’ challenge over at POLKADOODLES DIGI CHOOSDAY and as always we have a wonderful prize on offer for our lucky winner so check out the BLOG for details.

So the team have the theme of Happy New Pet this time and I tried to think of all the things you need when you first have a pet in the house. Bed, bowl, collar, lead, industrial strength cleaner!! But as I can’t make any of those things I settled on a picture clip, collar tag and a necklace. 

I have just discovered printable shrink plastic (I know, it’s probably been around for ages) so that is what I used to make all my doggy themed things.

The collar tag and necklace are simply designs from the pre-coloured HORACE & BOO TOPPER SET that I punched holes in, shrank and added jump rings to. I added beads at the bottom of the necklace for a little added something.

The photo clip is just a peg, attached to a lolly stick attached to a crudely constructed chipboard base. I cropped and printed the pre-coloured HORACE image twice onto my shrink plastic (each A5 in size), cut him out with a die then shrank him. I attached these pieces to either side of my peg and decorated the lolly stick with the WOOF YOU DOGS stamp set.  I added the bowl and bones from the ‘DORABLE DOG dies to the base to hide my messy gluing. The photo is of my gorgeous Staffie when she was a baby. Sadly I lost her last year so this is going to sit in pride of place on my desk.
