DC - A Cauldron, a Skull, Some Bats and a Witch!! Oh My!

Good morning everybody!

It’s Choosday which means it’s time for a new ‘Anything Goes’ challenge over at POLKADOODLES DIGI CHOOSDAY and as always we have a wonderful prize on offer for our lucky winner so check out the BLOG for details.

Don’t forget it is also DISCOUNT DAY so you need to grab the code on THE BLOG to get a MASSIVE reduction in the POLKADOODLES SHOP! It’s for a limited time only so be quick!

The DT had to incorporate a ‘reveal’ element to our projects this week with a Halloween/Autumn theme.

So here is my cauldron all bubbling over with witchy wicked potion-ness(?) and just a pull of the bat atop the witches’ hat reveals the lady herself [insert cackle here].

My favourite part has to be the skull and crossbones. I was foxed for a while wondering what I could use to make it but then…..eureka!!

So this is GEORGE THE GIRAFFE cut from white card and then brutally decapitated and de-horned.

I then took the large die from the KITTY WHISKERS set and using the ‘tuft’ on top of his head cut through the narrow part of what was left of George.

This resulted in a jaw and a set of teeth.

Using parts from the BEARY CUTE set and also KITTY WHISKERS  I cut some eye sockets and a nasal cavity and also used the bone from ‘DORABLE DOG to complete the look.
And here he is...I'm calling him Frank!

Ok so I was on a bit of a roll now and thought bats (as you do) and having used the holly from the ROBIN ON A BRANCH  in the background I wanted to make something slightly bigger to sit on the witches’ hat so of course I turned to the BUTTERFLY TRIO set.  I cut the solid shape die in black then trimmed the antenna.
I then used the smaller of the FLUFFY CLOUDS set to shape the bottom edge of the wings.
Simple!

I'm calling her Betty!

So here is a highly entertaining (!), perfectly shot (!) video of the reveal process with added sound effects. Don't blink or you'll miss it.
