The DTs challenge this week was ‘Halloween or Dark Colours’ so I went for both with my very Scary Fairy treat bag!!!

Ok so I hang my head in shame as to what I have done to the beautiful EDEN FAIRY WINGS but I was still in green skin mode so I went for it.  Not too sure why I found it necessary to include the blood though but there you go….it is a Halloween project after all!!

The DT’s challenge this week was to use 2 or more images on their makes and as we are now in October I went all Halloweeny!! I merged 2 papers and a haunted house image (found HERE) to make a spooky scene and also merged one of the sentiments onto a pumpkin digi.

Of course I used dies but did you know that Polkadoodles now have a die collection?!  Yes DIES!!!!  Nikky has a fabulous new range and they start at a staggeringly reasonable £3.49…I kid you not! There are 8 sets to choose from and you really need to check them out HERE. 

I have used the versatile ELEGANT LAMPLIGHT & GATE as I thought it would go perfectly in my scene.

The DT’s challenge this week was ‘Christmas Gift Wrapped’ and we had to stick to the traditional reds and greens.

So did you catch Nikky on Create and Craft on Friday (if you missed the shows you can view them HERE)? She launched her awesome new collection FESTIVE CHRISTMAS and this is one of the samples I made. 

I have not made an exploding box in an age (they are simplicity itself and I do like simple) and this one has a small….ok tiny compartment in the middle to hold some sweets.  In fact I fitted 6…yes 6 whole Jelly Babies in there (had to scoff the rest of the bag….couldn’t let them go off)!  I have a sneaking suspicion that the ‘Exploding Box 6’ are not there anymore either.

So the DT’s challenge was to use ribbon and/or lace and I have to confess that I was caught on the hop with this one so made my tag in double quick time.  In fact I think the completed design took just under 30 minutes which for me is a personal best.  It usually takes me an entire day to decide what I’m going to make and then another day to actually make it!!

Thankfully I already had the image coloured and all the other elements were leftovers from previous projects! Love that!

Backing Paper: POLKADOODLES WINNIE IN WONDERLAND

Colouring: LYRA REMBRANDT POLYCOLOR PENCILS (Colours used listed on THE PENCIL CASE BLOG)

Dies: Tonic ‘Deco Geometric’ – Tattered Lace ‘Flower Tuck in’ and ‘Beautiful Blooms’

Others: Gems – X-cut mini butterfly punch – faux stitching

Digi Choosday Challenge Week 36 – Anything Goes!

So the DT’s challenge was to use autumn colours this week which I hope I have achieved with my Winnie in Wonderland card.

You know when you get an idea in your head and it just doesn’t quite work (this happens to me OFTEN) …well this is a case in point. Nuff said!

Ingredients:

Individual digis:  WINNIE, RABBIT and HAT

Backing paper, sentiment, pre-coloured elements and also B/W digis including the Cheshire Cat: WINNIE IN WONDERLAND

Colouring Card: Neenah Solar White

Colouring: LYRA REMBRANDT POLYCOLOR PENCILS

Colours used: Skin: 76, 89, 31, 32 + 90 – Yellow: 83, 84, 85 – Orange: 87, 15, 13, 9 – Red: 92, 91, 89 – Brown: 76, 80, 82 – Grey: 96, 95

Dies: Tonic circles

Others: Kraft card - Ribbon – Glitter gems – Faux stitching
