Digi Choosday – A Gingerbread Christmas Card Using Non-Traditional Colours!

 Hello everybody!  Happy Choosday!

It’s time for another week of inspiration for our monthly ‘Anything Goes’ challenge over at POLKADOODLES DIGI CHOOSDAY and as always we have some amazing prizes on offer so check out the BLOG for details.

Don’t forget it is also DISCOUNT DAY so you need to grab the code on THE BLOG to get a MASSIVE reduction in the POLKADOODLES SHOP! It’s for a limited time only so be quick!

I love non-traditional colours for Christmas, and I have used the cuter than cute GINGERBREAD HOLLY COLLECTION on my ‘cheeky’ card today.

This image is way too cute and just look at that little gingie bottom (I had to give him a heart tattoo; it seemed appropriate and inappropriate all at the same time).

Ingredients:

Polkadoodles Goodies:

Single B/W Digi: HOT CHOCOLATE

B/W Image, Paper and Sentiment: GINGERBREAD HOLLY COLLECTION

Other Stuff:  Copics – Kraft Card – Go Kreate Square Frame Frilly #10 Dies – Tonic ‘Candy Cane’ Die – Banner Die

So visit THE BLOG where you can join in with our challenge and see all the gorgeous projects from the DT.   In addition, don’t forget to grab the DISCOUNT CODE and visit the STORE!

Thanks so much for looking and taking the time to leave a comment; I really do appreciate it!  Have a great Wednesday!

Creative Inspirations – A Pencil Coloured LOTV Christmas Card!

Hello, how are things?

We have a new challenge over at the Creative Inspirations Blog and this month our theme is;

Wrapped Up In Winter

Our lovely Natalie is generously providing the winner’s prize this time and it is a really sweet clear stamp set so come and join us!

Now this make offers a real blast from the past for me as I have had this stamp for quite a number of years. In fact, I used it in a post HERE.  I do adore everything Lili of the Valley and have accumulated a great many of their stamps and paper pads so I jumped at the opportunity to use this image for our challenge this month.

She is certainly super cute, wrapped up for winter in her snuggly big coat and ‘Doctor Who’ scarf (a reference for those of us who grew up in the 70's I think)

Ingredients:

Clear Stamp: LOTV ‘Christmas Candle’

Colouring: Arteza Coloured Pencils on Tan Toned Paper

Dies: Various from Tonic, LDRS Creative & Spellbinders

Paper: First Edition 'Silent Night'

So pop over to the blog and join in the fun this month, we would love to see you.

Thanks so much for looking and taking the time to comment; it really means a lot! Have a great day!

The Paper Shelter Challenge – From Hippie Chic to Wednesday Addams!

 Good morning all!

Today we have a new challenge at THE PAPER SHELTER and as always it is

ANYTHING GOES with an optional twist which this time is ‘Take a Non-Halloween Image and Make it Spooky’ Oh boy did I enjoy myself with this one.

The non-Halloween image I chose to use is HIPPIE CHIC who I thought I had a reasonable chance of turning into Wednesday Addams.

Pencils worked best for the colouring as they are more opaque than Copics so I could disguise certain areas and add bits here and there. ‘Thing’ was created using the hand from this TPS image HERE

Ingredients:

Digi Stamp: HIPPIE CHIC

Colouring: Pencils - Faber Castell Polychromos

Paper & Fussy Cut Skeleton: POLKADOODLES BONESHAKIN’ HALLOWEEN PACK

Sentiment: POLKADOODLES WINNIE WEDNESDAY CLEAR STAMPS

Dies: Spellbinders Nesting Labels – Tattered Lace ‘Graveyard’ – Concord & 9^th ‘Rain or Shine’ Umbrella - Cobweb

The Rest: Confetti Bat – Purple Vellum – White Embossing Powder

So please join us as it is always ANYTHING GOES with an optional twist and just look at what you could win….

Thanks so much for visiting and taking the time to comment; I appreciate it more than you know. Have a great day all!

GDT – Colouring with Pencils Challenge – The Colour of Love!

 Good morning!

I am over the moon to once again be a guest designer on the KLEUREN MET POTLODEN (COLOURING WITH PENCILS) challenge blog and I have used this beautiful fairy from one of their sponsors, THE COLOUR OF LOVE, called WATER LILIES FLOWERPOT PRETTIES

I broke out my hexagon dies and found some pretty paper that I have had since the dawn of time…well almost.

I attempted a marble effect on the flowerpot but I’m not too sure whether it just looks a bit grubby. LOL

Ingredients:

Digital Stamp:  WATER LILIES FLOWERPOT PRETTIES

Dies:  Presscut ‘Nesting Stitch Dot Hexagons’ - Spellbinders ‘Cherry Blossom Branch’

Paper: Hunkydory

Colouring: Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils on grey-toned paper

Sentiment: POLKADOODLES PERFECTLY PERFECT STAMPS & DIE SET

Others:  Mini Gems

So, grab your pencils and pop over to the KLEUREN MET POTLODEN blog and join in the fun.

Thanks so much for looking and taking the time to comment; I really do appreciate it! Have a lovely Saturday!
