WL2C – Christmas Scene with Dies, Stamps & Stencils!

Hello! Happy Sunday!

Time for a new monthly challenge at WE LOVE 2 CREATE which is always ‘Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes’ and we are sponsored by the awesome POLKADOODLES!! Our winner will receive a fabulous prize so check out the blog for details.

I have added a Christmas scene to a kraft book that I have had for quite a while now and below are a few of the process steps.

I began by stencilling some white and lilac texture paste through two of the fab Polkadoodles stencils; SNOWBALL/SNOWY and WINTER LANDSCAPES directly onto the kraft page.

I used the HAPPY FESTIVE SNOWMAN die set to construct my grinning snowman.

I took the tree from the WINNIE SNOW MUCH FUN set and attempted to create a snowflake with it.  I embossed it in white and I rate my success here at roughly fair-to-middling.

From the same stamp set I took Winnie and her little bunny friend and stamped them onto watercolour card in sepia ink and watercoloured them.

After adding splashes of paint to the background (and to my jeans, jumper, kitchen worktop, floor and dog) I dotted around some glitter glue and when dry stuck all my characters into place.

So there we have it in traditional Christmas colours of orange and purple..oh no wait...that's Halloween!! Ooops!
