So the team have the theme of Happy New Pet this time and I tried to think of all the things you need when you first have a pet in the house. Bed, bowl, collar, lead, industrial strength cleaner!! But as I can’t make any of those things I settled on a picture clip, collar tag and a necklace.

Wow!! So difficult to choose my favourite product from this release, everything is so gorgeous!!

For my card today I have used the super cute fox from the Polkadoodles NUTS ABOUT YOU stamp set; stamping him with my FLESH HYBRID INK  for a no-lines look. 

I also stamped the leaves and tree trunk from this set to create a scene for this little chap, all coloured with Copics. 

I took 2 different papers from the stunning PUDDLE JUMPER 6x6 PAPER PACK and cut both the fit my A2 (US)/ A6 (UK) card.  I cut one smaller, fussy cutting the lower edge after drawing around the cloud outline from the RAINY DAYS stencil. 

I cut a piece of card with a leaf die from the Polkadoodles FANCY FLOWERS die set then stamped the ‘Sweet’ sentiment onto it that also came on the NUTS ABOUT YOU stamp set

Eeek!! So many super gorgeous new goodies in THE STORE and I have a tutorial for you today showing how I made this card! 

So I began with an A2 (US)/A6 (UK) card blank and cut a piece of smooth card to fit on top. I then used both the COMING UP DAISIES and RAINY DAYS stencils to create my garden background using all the colours from the mini hybrid ink set COUNTY FAIR.  SWIMMING HOLE  is the perfect ‘sky’ colour.

I then stamped the stunning new Polkadoodles stamp HOLLY– JUST BREEZING BY with the FLESH HYBRID INK (from the SUMMER SHORE mini hybrid set) onto alcohol ink friendly paper. 

I coloured HOLLY with my markers and added the windswept flowers stamp to the background with my RAVEN HYBRID INK PAD. 

I fussy cut HOLLY but cut off the butterflies so I could add them separately, inking some of the others from the set too.  I coloured the flowers in the background and added 3D foam to HOLLY and my butterflies.

I used my stamping platform to stamp my sentiment into the corner (I was never going to get it right otherwise) then added all my 3D elements.  

Do adore this image with her hair flying about in then wind.

Digi Choosday Challenge –Rocket Man!

Good morning everybody!

So the team are looking at an unusual shaped card for a guy this week and I got it into my head that I wanted to make a rocket card, but the simplest one EVER!!

All I did was cut two large ovals and used the waste from either end of one of them to make the base/legs. Couldn’t be easier! And it’s sort of rocket shaped right?!

The background is a muddle of watercolours, white acrylic paint and white gel pen and I cut the ‘planets’ from a ‘mop-up’ piece of card.

We Love 2 Create – Flamenco Angel!

Hello! Happy Sunday!

Time for a new monthly challenge at WE LOVE 2 CREATE which is always ‘Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes’ and we are sponsored by the awesome POLKADOODLES!! Our winner will receive a fabulous prize so check out the blog for details.

Now I created this project some time ago for the Hochanda launch of the BELIEVE IN ANGELS COLLECTION but never blogged it.  So here we are my version of a flamenco dancer.

I stamped the angel and coloured with watercolours.  I used the fabulous CREATIVE ANGEL stencil to make multiples of the dress using shimmer texture paste and then cut them all out.

I edged each dress piece with the border of one of the FANCIFUL CIRCLES dies and made her sleeves and collar with some of the cut offs.  I layered up my dresses to create a ‘flowy’ feel and added some flowers to her hair stamped from the FLOWER POWER 1 set gave her an exotic look. 

I mounted everything onto a slim canvas covered with paper from one of the gorgeous POSY DOODLES A4 KITS.
